State and prospects of development of functional materials for science and technology
ISMA NAS of Ukraine also publishes a series of scientific supplements to the journal "Functional Materials" "Status and prospects of development of functional materials for science and technology" (ISBN series - 966-02-2555-5). Currently, 45 monographs have been published in the series.
The ISMA publishing house of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine has been publishing a series of scientific books "State and Prospects of Development of Functional Materials for Science and Technology" since 2002.
The founders of the publication are the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Institute of Scintillation Materials of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.
The editor-in-chief of the series is Borys V. Grynyov , Academician of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine.

The series is devoted to the problems of creating modern crystalline, ceramic, composite materials, as well as research and optimization of their composition, structure and properties, the development of effective engineering and technological aspects of their practical application.

From 2002 to 2015, 48 books were published in the series, titles and annotations are presented on the journal's website www.functmaterial.org.ua

- ways to create functional materials with specified properties: superconductors, ferroelectrics and piezoelectrics, synthetic metals and semiconductors, scintillators, electro-, magneto-optical, magnetic, acoustic, photorefractive, laser media, etc., their synthesis, chemical and structural design;
- structure, phase transformations and properties of single crystals, ceramics, composites, nanocrystals, amorphous solids, liquid crystals, polymers, thin films and low-dimensional systems (quantum dots and ensembles, superlattices, heterostructures, etc.) with respect to problems of materials science;
- modern methods of materials research (diffraction analysis, electron microscopy, scanning tunneling microscopy, atomic force microscopy, spectroscopy, etc.);
- problems and methods of using functional materials in modern technologies (technical electronics, micro- and nanoelectronics, optoelectronics, laser and piezotechnics, integrated and fiber optics, information display and recording systems, sensors, tribology, etc.).
